Buffalo waterfront in 1967. The 12-story Dante Place public housing development (center), now called the Marine Drive Apartments,
was completed in 1952. The tall office building, right center, is the old Marine Midland Bank building; Memorial Auditorium looms behind
the Skyway(1955) at right . Construction of the Erie Basin Marina, spanning the left waterfront visible above, would be completed in 1974.
The Naval and Servicemen's Park would open in 1979, occupying the waterfront space adjacent to the Skyway at right.
