The Nimrod Bar occupied a building constructed in 1843 as a clothing store.
It was one of only 2 Gothic structures
built in Buffalo at that time. It stood in the middle of a block on the east
side of Main street,
north of Exchange Street. Photo above take June 1967, by Paul Redding.

Two weeks later, the demolition of the Nimrod, the Milwaukee Hotel, and others
on the block is well under way.
At the left is what remains of the Buffalo Times building.
The HSBC building now stands in their place.
