is St. Louis Catholic
Church (1889). The west side of Main Street is occupied by the German Insurance
Building (1876) at the image's right edge, and the William
Hengerer Company department store (1903) adjacent to it.

Note the Genesee Building, now incorporated into the Hyatt Regency Hotel on
the lot formerly occupied by the Victor building;
far up Main is the spire of St. Louis Catholic Church and the 'gold dome' of
today's M&T Banking Center.
