View of downtown Buffalo from August, 1936. The red arrow is set on Genesee Street. The original streets design had Genesee
running from the waterfront outward past the city limits. The thoroughfare was bisected in 1976 by construction of the Buffalo
Convention Center (shaded red rectangle). The street running diagonally at right is Upper Terrace Street, an area so altered in 2004
as to be difficult to compare with the images above. Note the (new) Central Terminal in the upper right corner.
